The art around the world has evaluated since the Ancient Rome empire. The paintings developed by having proportional bodies and using different colours. The Swing (fig.1) by Jean-Honoré Fragonard fits in the Rococo period. This artwork’s story, colours and the hierarchy of painting shows how Rococo is represented. First, Jean-Honoré Fragonard’s painting presents a story. This artwork had an interesting adventure before it was done in 1767. In the center of The Swing, there is a lady on a swing (fig.2), a man laying on a rosebush on the bottom left corner (fig.3) and another man pushing the young woman on the opposite corner (fig.4). The patron of the painting wanted to be illustrated seeing his mistress pushed by a gentleman.
