Jeffery Macdonald was born October 12th, 1943 in Jamaica, Queens, New York. In high school Jeffery was voted the “Most likely to Succeed” and the “Most popular Award”. After graduating from high school, Jeffery attended Princeton University as an undergraduate. While studying at Princeton he rekindled the light with high school sweetheart Colette Stevenson at the time whom he later married in September 1963. Colette Macdonald was born May 6, 1943 in Patchogue, New York. She attended Eastern Carolina University in North Carolina, where she majored in English. Hallucinogens are known to cause changes in the thought process, the mood, and perceptions. LSD is known to cause hallucinations that last up to half a day. In summary, her perception and thoughts could be all over the place, especially since she abuses drugs. Macdonald's defense team argued that Macdonald was innocent. They argued that the murder was committed by an intruder. They also stated that the evidence found and used in the trial isn't reliable.
