Jeffrey Taylor's Story: How Did It All Start?

It is difficult to imagine many everyday tasks--throwing a ball, getting something from the cupboard, stretching, switching loads of laundry, playing ping-pong, even putting on deodorant--taken away in just a couple hours. Jeffrey Taylor had experienced just this after simply taking a car battery off the shelf at Walmart. Jeff works at a small aircraft maintenance facility at the Toledo Jet Center. He usually fixes small parts of airplanes to make sure they are airworthy. He is married to Aimee Taylor and has five kids: Isaiah, Delilah, Josh, Jeremiah, and Tabithah. He enjoys camping, swimming, and playing games such as ping-pong with his kids. Jeff has a shoulder condition which prevents him from lifting his arm above his shoulder and has a short but interesting story to share. But how did this all start? Jeff has always had trouble with shoulder pain, but he never actually thought it was important until his accident in May of 2016. He has adapted to using his left hand a lot more than he used to. Some tasks he can do better than he used to at work due to trying different angles. Other jobs he still struggles to complete. His right arm has become much stronger since the surgery. At one time, he could barely lift his arm and he was not strong enough to keep it held up. Jeff has gone to plenty of therapy, but he says the therapy really was not doing too much. He has learned to play ping-pong and other games as well, but he tends to use his left hand and hardly uses his right. He has doctor appointments every so often.
