Our small town of Maycomb Alabama, our town is very racist and people discriminate against people so much. I, Jem Finch, think that I was a very good big brother to Jean Louise Finch (Scout). I was 12 years old and in 6th grade. One challenge of being lawyers son is hatred from the town. The one thing that I am thinking of is when the my dad Atticus took Tom Robinson's case. Tom was accused of rapping Bob Ewell's daughter. My dad lost the case, but he never gave up, even though we got a lot of hatred in our town. There is a lot of Racism in Maycomb, Alabama. Racism is the worst thing that could ever happen in our country, and i am kinda of sick of it because I have heard it so much.

Months later I completely forget about the trial, Tom Robinson, and Bob Ewell. Then one day we walked to the pageant and Cecil Jacobs comes out of nowhere and scares the living daylight out of me and Scout. Since nobody could take Scout to her pageant I had the responsibilities of walking her there and back. My sister and Cecil wandered around looking at haunted houses in some the seventh grade classrooms. I went with my friends and hung

I was very nervous because it was just me and sister, it was even more dark then when we walked to the school for the pageant. I was walking home beside Scout holding on to her because she had a huge costume on and she could barely walk.We got farther from the school where there was no one around and we got closer to our home. Someone came up behind me and started attacking me and I was so scared for my sister because she was all alone is this big costume could have fallen down and wouldn't have been able to get up. I was almost for sure that the person that was attacking me was Bob Ewell. While this dude (Bob Ewell) was beating me I had a flashback back to the trial and Bob Ewell told by dad
