The concept of change has always been around, and because of that, so has pushing others into change. However, sometimes people don t realize that change is the best thing for them until they are influenced by an outside force. Once that push happens, one is able to see the positive outcome of the change. In both Jinxy Jenkins & Lucky Lou by Michael Bidinger and Michelle Kwon and Flying Lessons by Soman Chainani, the characters need change, and someone else pushes them towards that change. This change eventually ends up benefiting them.

In the short film Jinxy Jenkins & Lucky Lou, both of the characters are unhappy in the position they are in. Lou wishes things were more unexpected in her life, and Jenkins is sick of only ever having bad luck. But when their stories begin to overlap, they realize that the other brings exactly what they want. This perfect combination ends up working for both of them, and it would not be possible without the other. In this story, both of the characters want change, but they don't know how to achieve it. With the help of another person, they are both able to achieve what they want. This is a great example of how sometimes external forces are needed to help push someone to make a change for the better.
