Jennifer Willis-Rivera Presentation Evaluation Early in the fall semester this year, Jennifer Willis-Rivera came to my sports leadership and development class and spoke to my class about emotion in sports, keeping your composure when things get rough. It made sense for her to come present on this topic because the whole entire class consisted of freshman athletes new to River Falls. Being new freshman on a whole new team can get very difficult at times, which is why it was perfect for her to come present on that topic. Overall Jennifer did a very great job presenting to our class. She was very good as a speaker, using great audience adaptation, eye contact, volume, etcetera. I was very surprised by how she presented to us, little did I know she was a Comms professor, I found this out when first beginning my Comms adventure with her playing a major part, which was being the creator of the weekly videos. She did a great job connecting to us as student athletes and college kids. This was because she used a story about her daughter who is also an athlete, that was struggling to find playing time as a soccer goalie, and especially because we were all freshman in the class, most of us could relate to not having playing time. Another way she executed audience adaptation so well is because she always had the class involved. There were many cases where she would promote a problem and had us find ways of how we could solve the problems as a group. She had everyone participate also, which made it impossible to slack off. She did it in a fun way however, which is why audience adaptation was her strongest aspect to her
