Cheating regardless of justification is unfair. Within the article, “‘I Cheated All Throughout High School,’” from The Atlantic, Jessica Lahey quotes a letter from an anonymous student and speaks about cheating. The letter within the article states, “A grade earned by cheating is not a grade reflective of our true achievement” (Lahey). While the student uses the quote differently, it still remains true. Taken out of context of the article, at face value, this quote is exactly correct; when you cheat, you never truly show what you know. You never exercise the knowledge you know when you cheat on tests, quizzes, or homework.
