Many people in the US knew about what the Nazis were doing overseas to the Jews, though there were many different types of responses. Some people wanted to help, others wanted to stay neutral, and isolated. There were many boycott movements against the treatment of jews, and also contrary to that there was propaganda in the news that were against the helping of the Jewish people.
