In the past year, Ms. Russell has played a significant role in facilitating school-community collaborations that far exceed the traditional contributions of a classroom teacher. As a result of her commitment to innovative instructional practices, Ms. Russell has collaborated with a number of community organizations and businesses (Including Brock University, Innovate Niagara, and IBM) to provide her students with learning experiences that that support critical thinking, authentic problem solving and real world connections.
