Section 1: Opportunities and Challenges of Chosen Extracts
For my three plays, I choose were ‘road’ by Jim Cartwright, ‘Talking to Terrorists’ by Robin Soans and ‘Attempts on Her Life’ by Martin. We choose the plays due to the variation of style, the style of the play allowed me to show off a variety of acting demands. ‘Road’ was a Brechtian style which its acting demands required me to create comedy and use a stylised character, ‘Talking to Terrorists’ was naturalistic; demanding that I think about every action I make and ‘Attempts on Her Life’ was Berkovian demanding that I create changes in pitch within my voice and using over the top actions
