For example, Rosa Parks was one lady who refused to follow the law. Rosa refused to give up her seat for a white man after a stressful day at work. She was told to move out of her seat, but instead of moving Rosa stayed put and didn't move an inch. They continuously asked her to move so the white civilian could sit down and responded with a blank, “ no.” they called the authorities and had Rosa Parks removed from the bus. She was sent to jail, and when people who disagreed with the laws of segregation, people started walking to work and stopped taking the busses. Also they started riots, trying to convince people that their skin does not matter we all are people within. Most of the colored joined the army to show that they are just like everyone else. One day Plessy bought a ticket for first class, from new orleans to all the way to louisiana train station. He then boarded the train and had told the conductor about his heritage, and how he was ⅛ the African American. The conductor had told plessy to move to where the colored sit and he refused and was immediately arrested. Since he looked white but had ⅛ th of colored genes in him he was not allowed to sit with the whites. Shortly after this all told place there was a court hearing for the whole situation.
