What is your favorite musician? There are so many to choose from, and everyone has their own favorites. Mine is Jimi Hendrix! Have you ever listened to a song that you immediately liked? That is how I felt when I listened to his song “Purple Haze”. “Purple Haze” was inspired by a dream he had of walking under the sea. In the dream, he said, a purple haze surrounded him and got him lost. Jimi Hendrix is still considered the greatest guitar player of all time and has inspired countless other musicians like Kurt Cobain and Prince, to name a few.

Jimi Hendrix was born on November 27, 1942 in Seattle, Washington, one year before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Jimi was from the Central District and lived there most of his childhood.
