Day 1:
A virus broke out. And the world is in chaos right now—families are scrambling around hoping to find their loved ones amongst the crowds of people, dialing several combinations of numbers on their phones with even higher hopes that someone will pick up on the other end. From what I can remember, I saw a few homeless people on the streets, hobbling and stumbling around sluggishly. They were probably tired and hungry… But then this man, he walked out from the CalTrain station off of 22nd Street in San Francisco, and shuffled over to the first person he saw. What he did next, was something completely unusual. Unnatural. He slowly snatched a woman by the arm, and sank his teeth right through …show more content…
The three of us ran away, like normal human beings. I get the feeling that this is only going to get worse, and that if a solution is eventually found for the virus that has infected people, it would be kept secret. Anyways, we first went to my house where I could grab some essentials. We were going to everyone’s house to gather things to share. From my house, backpacks, socks, water bottles, flashlights, water-purification tablets, matches, a map, compass, sleeping bag, baseball bat, and a bicycle. From Ace’s house, a Swiss Army knife, machete, medical kit, crossbow, another bicycle with an extra tire, hiking boots, two pistols with a silencer, a rifle with a silencer, a tool kit, and binoculars. Ace also gave us lots of ammo. And lastly, here at Xarima’s house: a cleaning kit, an advanced medical kit, a three-way radio with headphones, two portable electric stoves, gasoline, an old radio, and solar-powered lamps. The three of us found what ever we could use for survival. All of us pitched in for food and water- Xarima already had two cases of 24 bottles of water. Ace had four large grocery bags full of canned food and some military packets of food. The information that we have been given so far, since the …show more content…
I’ve been finding high places to sit and observe these undead beings. I’ve been observing the way they walk, possible patterns of roaming, how quickly they sense the living people, how they don’t care about other undead beings or animals, and much more. I’ve noticed that they mostly walk, stumble, and trudge their way around the streets. What stands out to me the most is that they cannot climb, no matter how hard they try. Stairs is a different story. I’ve seen them walk up to porches and move up the stairs. Xarima’s house has an underground basement, and two floors above ground. Ace suggested that we stay on the second floor and get rid of the stairs, because if we stay in the basement, the undead might be able to get through and trap us. It makes more sense to stay above. And when we need to get down to ground level, we can use the rope that we found earlier. All three of us have tested it out, and it is strong enough to hold our weight. And we’re all strong enough to climb up the rope. When it is not in use, it will be up and out of reach from those down
