There are women who became role models because of their fight for equality, and their identities have become wrapped up in high-profile personal brands attached to worthy causes (like Lean In). She’s called people out for being racist, homophobic and Islamophobic. She is very accepting towards people of all cultures, and does not support any sort of discrimination or any sort of violence towards any community. Just 6 days back, JK Rowling’s support for Muslim campaign to repair Jewish cemetery tripled donations from $18,000 to $45,000. She is also a huge feminist, and has made her female characters independent, intelligent, and opinionated. Hermione, Ginny, Luna, McGonagall, and so many more characters from Harry Potter are strong role models for young girls, all of which reflect Rowling's beliefs. She once said: “I consider myself to be a feminist, and I'd always wanted to show that just because a woman has made a choice, a free choice to say, 'Well, I'm going to raise my family and that's going to be my choice. I may go back to a career, I may have a career part time, but that's my choice.' Doesn't mean that that's all she can do." She values humans beyond their physical looks, weight, and measure — which is honestly how we should all view each other and ourselves. Embracing self-love is a lesson Rowling taught us in multiple ways, and I can't thank her enough for it. She is also very active on social media, and constantly engages with fans, creating a close connection with them and giving them advice to help with various fields of
