Joey’s perspective on Tangerine is that when he transfers to Tangerine Middle, he can’t handle the good-natured teasing that goes on there, and lashes out with racist comments. He transfers back to Lake Windsor, and he and Paul avoid each other. While Joey is at Tangerine soccer practice Joey and Paul are walking away from practice, Victor and his friends join them. They tease Paul good-naturedly, and Paul gives as good as he gets. But not Joey. When they start ribbing Joey, Joey gets mad. Of course, the guys think it's funny, and keep giving Joey a hard time till they get to Luis's truck. Once they're alone again, Paul tries to calm Joey down, but he stays pretty upset. Paul’s mom picks Paul and Joey up from practice and as they go
