In John A. Coleman's article, state must unite to deal with droughts challenges, written for the Sacramento Bee, he depicts the statewide drought issues of California and also points out a plan he has for the state has to reduce water usage. Colem an argues that in order for this plan to take affect, statewide, we would need everyones participation for this event. He claims that the reservoir, this year, is just as low as it was in the drought of 1977 and the only problem is that the population has doubled since then. He talks about a comprehensive action plan boosting water-use efficiency and bringing water recycling along with other strategies on line to stretch out supplies. John A. Coleman , who is also the president of the statewide Association of California Water agency, lastly states that he is ready to work with the governor and the legislature along with others, mainly for public financing, and make sure that this states water drought gets solved. Coleman, is that California is facing a drought of great magnitude and the state must conjoin its resources to accommodate the best results and to prepare for future water conservation. This claim is conclusive on building a strong foundation and the argument is effective and greatly supported by information about the drought. The fundamentals of this argument are carried out through compelling facts and actions and strongly supported by a credible sources. He offers insight into the opposition as well, and maintains a strong and balanced argument by explaining the purpose and importance of contribution through the drought. Lastly, he discusses the importance in his writing and appeals to the writers ethos, pathos, and logos as he explains why the California must band together to make it through challenging
