John D. Rockefeller Sr. was a very wealthy businessman who strived to make others wealthy as well. He was the co-founder of Standard oil company which was a very dominant company during it’s time. Born July 8, 1839 he moved to cleveland in 1843 when he was 14 and worked very hard at anything he did. He got his first business job when he was 16. By the time he turned 20 he had grossed over $450,000 for the company he worked for.

Being a captain of industry he would work for a small company from 16 to 20 and make enough money to put into his own company. After gaining some money up he went into a partnership with Henry M. Flagler. He was the co owner of the oil company and used his money to put back into the company and recruit more workers
