John Nash Jr. was born in Bluefield, West Virginia, on June 13, 1928. His father was Mr John Nash and his mother was Margaret Virginia Martin, his father was a WWI veteran and worked at a electrician company, his mother was sometimes a teacher teaching for english and latin but could not continue it for long due to a ear infection. He was the oldest of his siblings only having one more which was his sister which is Maratha (1930). Nash was born in a loving and caring family his parents cared for him and loved him for who he his. When he was young Nash preferred to focus more on school work, books and learning in general, he wasn’t the type to play with kids and do normal kids stuff. Most of his teachers did not recognize his intelligence at his young age. In 1952 he went on to teach at MIT or Massachusetts Institute of technology where his students thought his teaching style was was unusual and unorthodox because he kept testing theories.
While he was at MIT he went through personal problems such as forming relationships with younger boys and then finally found a woman that he enjoyed being with because the were both the same person. Later in his life he would go on to write more astounding papers about his theories. During this time Nash would act stranger then he usually does he would say ridiculous claims and would not make sense, therefore one of his staff noticed and could tell that he had a mental illness and wasn’t all there mentally. They then would establish him in a hospital and would give him insulin-coma therapy for 5 days a week for one whole month. He later then recover
From his mental illness and still had his great math brain which allowed him to be nominated for so many awards. Later In
