Some of the issues that are not well known about the Scopes Trial is mainly about what trial was really about. John T. Scopes was being accused of violating the Butler Act, for teaching Hunter’s Civic Biology to his students. Although he was found guilty, most people remember the trial as evolution vs religion, undermining what the case was really about.
