Concert Report I. Introduction The Music of John Williams Concert, on March 24, 2018, featuring the Virginia Symphony Orchestra, took place at the Chrysler Hall performing arts venue, located in Norfolk, Virginia. The conductor, Benjamin Rous has been apart of the Virginia Symphony Orchestra since 2010 when he was named Associate Conductor, but in 2013 he was promoted to Resident Conductor. Mr. Rous studied music at Harvard University and during his time there he served as the Music Director of Harvard Bach Society Orchestra and Lowell House Opera. Mr. Zhang started his violin studies at the age of three years old and by time he was five years old he had performed his very first public performance. I was familiar with this piece before attending the concert and to be able to have the opportunity to finally see it live sent chills down my back because of how beautiful it is hearing it over recording. Mr. Zhang performed this piece so beautiful, his body language and facial expressions took me to one of the most relaxing places i have ever been.
