I learned from Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin in our personal search for truth there will be times when it feels like we are alone. This is far from the truth because as he put it “In The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints today, millions of people stand beside you.” These fellow church members and disciples of Christ are as Alma the older put it “willing to bear one another’s burdens, that they may be light; yea, and are willing to mourn with those that mourn; yea, and comfort those that stand in need of comfort” (Mosiah 18:8-9). We work together to help strengthen each other in one another’s weaknesses. This kind of discipleship helps each of us learn of truth as a whole but also individually.
