Born in Waknuk, Joseph Strorm was the son of Elias Strorm, the founder of Waknuk. Strorm kept his father's traditions, and took the leadership to change Waknuk into an orderly, law-abiding and God respecting community. He was a religious leader of Waknuk, starting at the age of sixteen. His first public appearance was in the church his father had built, where he gave his Sunday address. After his father’s death, he married a devoted and religious woman named Emily. He and his wife Emily Strorm did everything to keep people on the right path when people forgot the importance of purity. Respect for God was always in his lips, and his words so powerful, aiding those who have been led astray.
