Perseverance is giving the effort required to do something no matter how hard the obstacles are to overcome. Josh Pitcher is a hero that exemplifies perseverance. He perseveres as his leg was ripped off during a military accident. He fell into some depression but didn't give up and pushed through the healing process. He didn't stop there, he trained and eventually got back in the army, even though he lost his leg. “A total of 1,564 soldiers or Marines have lost at least one leg, arm or hand in Iraq or Afghanistan, according to the Pentagon. This shows bravery, selflessness and so much more heroic traits by him going to this death camp to help his country, the jews, and the enemies of Germany. Chernobyl Suicide Squad or Alexi Ananenko, Valeri Bezpoalov and Boris Baronov are another group of people that show bravery and many more heroic traits. “In 1986, a sudden surge of power during a reactor systems test destroyed Unit 4 of Chernobyl's nuclear power plant, spewing massive amounts of deadly radioactive material into the environment.” While this was happening a massive amount of radioactive material spilled into the cooling pipes and steam pipes. These 3 volunteers suited up and jumped into the radioactive material to drain it out knowing they would die. After they reached the surface they died shortly afterward, but without the actions of these brave individuals, the effect of the explosion would be an unfathomable disaster. These 3 heroes exemplified courage, selflessness, and bravery through their actions on that horrible day. These heroes are not cowards and anything but
