Answer in POV of Jonathan Swift: Using the knowledge I gained through my reading I would say that he believes that a civilian’s responsibility is to try their best to perform their role in society. Everyone should be aware of the actions they are doing and if it is affecting society negatively.I think his rule of thumb would be that if you are poor, then you shall work your way up and accept help. If you're wealthy then you should donate to the poor. I believe he wants things to be equal. If we used his rule of thumb then everyone would be supporting everyone else. Lastly, I believe that he would think that you should sacrifice for the well being of others until you are no longer comfortable. Until you are also at the same point as the person you are helping. Answer: I would think they would have the same and different views depending on the topic. I think they both agree that equality is a very powerful thing. But equality can be used in a good way and a bad way. I believe that K.V. thinks there is a danger in total equality. I think that J.S. would feel the same way about total equality because I think a smart man like himself would know the dangers and how ineffective it would be. Although, I think that J.S. believes in economical equality. I am not sure how K.V. would feel about total equality in finance. I think they would have a lot of the same views on the overall well being of society but a different view on how equal financial benefits should be. My mother says that they probably both think that people should have equality of opportunity. Also saying that she agrees with the answer I provided.
