The myth that I have chosen is the Hebrew creation myth because I have grown up in a Christian house hold. Also because it seems more realistic than any of the other myths and that I think that it explains more than any of the other myths.
My first reason for choosing this myth is because I grew up in a Christian house hold. We would go to church on Sundays and we would participate in every church event we could, because of that I became very acquainted with this myth. Although I have never fully believed in God or any other religion, but if I had to pick a religion it would be the Hebrew, Christian religion because I have grown up with it my whole life. My second reason is that it seems more realistic than any of the other stories. Like the Japanese myth, a germ mixing with all the elements and by that happening it made a sprout that grows up into the heavens and a God magically appeared. Not that this one is even better some guy just decided to make the earth and everything on it. As I said before I grew up in a Christian house hold so the story kind of stayed with me more than the other ones and it seems like it could actually be true compared to the other ones. My final reason for picking this myth is that I find it explains more than any of the other myths because it says what he made on each day and how different things happened like why the snake crawls, why child birth is so painful, and why men must work for food.
