I’ve learned the Constitution may be vague for a reason and that reason is for interpretation being able to transition through the constantly diverse and changing societies. Being a judge you must decide if certain issues/policies are in accordance with the Constitution or not. I would stick more towards the strategic model sticking to legal model norms and tempering my political beliefs. When it comes to rendering decisions I would be open minded that way all views would be looked at in an unbiased manner. I would also consider society wants and what it deems appropriate as well as my personal beliefs. Constitutional rights will be a necessity to consider, in addition to what my fellow jury members’ opinions on the matters are. Most importantly, decisions will be made in considering what is ultimately best for the people of the United States presently and in the future.
Fisher v. United States
I would have voted for Fisher due to the 14th amendment and them using race as a factor in admittance. The Court’s majority was the same as mine and for the same reason.
