However, if there were more unfavorable outcomes, like being tried as an adults for their careless acts, there would be less adolescents who would commit crimes. There have been multiple cases where a juvenile has committed such a brutal crime that they have been put on trial as an adult. In like matter, one of these cases was in 1997, a girl by the name of Rebecca Falcon was tried as an adult lost the case and was sentenced to life in prison without parole. Rebecca chose a bad group of friends and that choice lead her to a life changing event, "Ms. Falcon's jury found her guilty of murder, though it never did sort out precisely what happened that night, its foreman said,” (Liptak). This is one example of why juveniles should be tried as adults; even though she was only fifteen since she committed a felony the fact she was tried and sentenced as an adult was fair.
