The architecture of the Ka’ba is an irregular cube-like structure, the Ka’ba itself measures approximately fifteen meters in height, ten meters in length and twelve meters in width. Its four corners are generally aligned with the four points of the compass” (Esposito “Kaaba”). On one of the corners is the Black Stone, which is believed to be of ancient origin. According to tradition, the Black Stone was given to Adam and Eve when they were expelled from paradise so he could obtain forgiveness of his sins. Also according to tradition, the stone was originally white but turned black after absorbing the sins of the many pilgrims who have touched it believing that it physically absorbs sin. In Figure 2A, it shows the building diagram of the Ka’ba and Figure 2B shows the Black Stone. The significance and symbolism of the Ka‘ba are evoked in Muslim tradition because it plays a role as the center of the earth. However, because it brings people together who all believe in one idea and because the worshipping of God is done it is also similar to Christianity and Judaism because they do the same things just in a different way and allow for their religions to spread and influence people all over the world. Islam was and is also influenced by the early works of Judaism and Christianity which are something the three major religions share in common. All three of this major religions can learn something from each other and they might be able to help one another develop into the ever changing-world. The Ka’ba has an effect on Muslims that no other religion is able to copy and it allows the religion and community to grow and become more devoted to what Muslims believe and how they practice
