Her response was that since she used to be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) she is able to care for her husband’s injured foot. Mr. Williams stepped on a large wood tack five years ago, with him having diabetes, it hasn’t healed completely. He recently caught infection again, and the infection won’t go away. Both Mrs. Williams and her husband don’t want to amputate his leg, so she cleans it, and bandages as needed. She says, “Taking care of him has become a hobby that takes most of my time, but I also go fishing, attend all kinds of auctions. I like to buy bulk food and candy and other items at the auctions.” Mrs. Williams also attends church from time to time. Another crucial activity she is involved in is gardening. She plants different vegetables and preserves them to have vegetables year round. I noticed that a lot of her activities required her driving.
