Keaton Farris was being held in the Island County Jail on a charge of identity theft. In the early morning hours of April 8, 2015 he was found dead in his cell. After an autopsy performed by the county Coroner, cause of death was said to be from dehydration with malnutrition also being a factor. Farris had been waiting for an examination by Western State Hospital to determine if he was competent to stand trial.
