In his article “The Dangers of Cramming”, Keith Ablow informs us that cramming, study intensively over a short period of time just before an examination sometimes without sleep at all and heavy use of stimulants, can do more harm than good. Cramming can cause severe side effects like temporary intellectual lapses, students may have lower performance because they couldn’t focus on the final exam, but some students may not. The effects of cramming are unpredictable because the effects of sleep loss and the minimum requirements of sleep hours vary from one people to another. The heavy use of stimulants to increase alertness is a myth. In fact, stimulants can reduce the ability to receive, memorize, and understand the information. Worse, some students
