Doctors try their best, but sometimes it is not enough. According to Cancer Fighting
Strategies, “There are natural and effective products available that are proving to
be powerful cancer healers.” Most people use chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery
for their treatments. Kidney Cancer is most offend treated with surgery or targeted
therapy.
Mayo Clinic states, kidney cancer rarely causes signs or symptoms in the early
stages, but the longer the cancer grows, the sign and symptoms will appear. To cause
symptoms the tumor must become very large. According to Right Diagnosis, the three
main symptoms of kidney cancer are kidney failure, blood clots, …show more content…
According to Cancer Net, the three main treatments for cancer are
radiation, surgery, and chemotherapy. Radiation is high energy x-rays or other
particles to destroy cancer cells. It is not considered to be effective as a primary
treatment for cancer. Radiation is administered usually alone to treat kidney cancer
because of how much damage that it can cause to the healthy kidney. Doctors use
surgery to remove the tumor and surrounding tissue during an operation. Sometimes the
doctors have to remove part or the entire kidney. Chemotherapy is the use of drugs to
destroy cancer cells, usually by stopping the cancer from growing. An Oncologist, is
a medical doctor who specializes in treating cancer. According to Cancer Net treatments,
systemic chemo is delivered through the bloodstream to reach cancer cells throughout
the body. Two ways to give chemo are: intrados (IV) tube which is placed into a vein,
using a needle or in a pill or capsule that is swallowed (orally). The three main side
effects are vomiting, hair loss, and loss of appetite. Once patients get off the chemo for a
couple of weeks, the side effects will eventually go away.
There are four stages of cancer, staging is based on three numbers: At, N, and …show more content…
The first stage of cancer means that the tumor is
still small. National Cancer Institution reports, “stage I tumor is 7cm and remains
localized to the area it was found. If the T-number is either T1a to T1b, means that there
are no cancer in the lymph nodes and the cancer has not spread. The second stage of
cancer means the tumor is bigger than 7cm, but the cancer has not yet made it to the
lymph nodes. The University of Maryland Green Baum Cancer Center states, “that
even though the cancer is still in the kidney, it may have spread to surrounding fatty
kidney tissue.” According to Kidney Cancer Stages, “the tumor in stage three may have
grown larger and spread to the adrenal glands, neighboring tissues of the blood vessels.
The tumor still may be small, and may have grown outside of the kidney. The cancer
has gone to at least one nearby lymph node. In the fourth stage the tumor has grown into
and beyond the outer fibrous layer of the kidney. At this stage the tumor can be any
size, and has spread to tissues further away from the kidneys. According to Kidney
Cancer Stages, “stage four cancer means the cancer usually can’t be
