The formula for the Kirkland dog food is manufactured and marketed by the Costco Wholesale Corporation. Their formula contains ingredients that a good number of nutritional experts would regard as mid-grade since they do not include soy, wheat, corn, animal digest or by-products – basically unique in store brand formulas. Meat, meat meal, barley and rice are the contents of Kirkland’s dog food formula.
The Kirkland dog food has many formulas that cater to both young adult dogs. The Range Chicken, Rice and Vegetables (16% fat and 24% protein) is appropriate for adult dogs more than a year old. This major ingredients contained in this formula include cracked pearl barley, brown rice (whole grain), beet pulp, chicken meal, chicken fat and chicken.
