Kit Carson was born on Christmas Eve on December 24 1809, in Richmond KY ,Kit Carson gave up on his education and worked the family's lands. Carson never learned to read , that was a fact that he later tried to hide and was ashamed of. When Kit Carson's father died in 1818, Carson did his best to help out his mother who had 10 children to raise on her own. Carson gave up his education to work the family's lands.He is still remembered for his roles, for example ,trapper, explorer, Indian agent and soldier.

Spanish was the language that he spoke with his friend Taos, he is also fluent in a third language which was French.
