The Korean War Veterans Memorial has a wonderful location and includes a great design. The architectural design of the memorial encompasses a mass amount of interesting features. One of which is the Wall of Remembrance, which includes 36,574 American service members and 7,200 members of the Korean Agency. It serves as a great way to commemorate the fallen heroes. It also features 19 steel figures to honor a U.S. patrol squad. It commemorates all ethnic backgrounds depicted on the soldiers. It has a kiosk where you can learn about the veterans. It includes a mural wall of 24k photos and is a great way to remember the “forgotten war”. Lastly it consists of a pool of remembrance and a wall of remembrance that includes the words “ Freedom is not Free”. The memorial was designed by Cooper-Lecky architects. They were chosen for the project due to their respectable design that relates to the important historical significance. The Korean War was deemed a threat to all democratic nations.
