Krautrock is a musical movement that began in Germany around the late 60s, having achieved its peak between early and mid-70s. This movement is often characterized as psychedelic rock music, while it should be credited for its major role in several fields of music (r)evolution, since it was not only about making music, but about finding new instruments and reproducing new sonic structures. That is the main reason why it goes from bands that play psychedelic sounds to the ones pending to electronic music or even noise. In fact, this is also the reason it ends up having a profound impact in English musical since from the late 70s until the mid-80s as we will see.
