It all began freshman year. The first time I was diagnosed with RBF. And this is my story. For those who don’t know, RBF stands for Resting B---- Face, and is an affliction usually affecting girls, whose facial expressions, or lack thereof, have the unintentional appearance of constantly being angry, irritated, or judgemental. The most well-known example of this is Kristen Stewart who, although known for her role in the Twilight series, is more commonly recognized for her emotionless RBF. I like to think that I have a milder case of RBF, and I myself can’t understand how my face could look so angry without my knowledge, but based on the numerous accounts from people who have recognized and mentioned this quality to me, I feel I must accept it. I have no clue how the topic of RBF was even brought up, but immediately one of his friends, 3 years older than me who I barely knew, turned and said that I had a perfect example of RBF. At that point I barely even knew what it was, and as they explained it to me, I could feel my heart sinking as the realization set in, because I knew they were right and I really did, and still do, have RBF.
