My teaching philosophy which underpins my approach within the classrooms outlines that all students are individuals who hold their own set of interest and values that need to respect and understood. This information allows me to create a learning program that is targeted completely towards them, it’s from this personalised treatment that I believe all student will successes.

I ensure that lesson differ between being hands on, written and verbal which helps to ensure all students are engaged with their learning. o Engaging the modern learner through use of real-world connections that are relevant to them such as; Sporting events, national holidays and school based events such as book week and swimming carnivals. I also use digital technologies in a way that support students learning whilst aiding an element of engagement, for example I have used “Plickers” with my students which helped make a quick formative assessment task a lot more engaging and interesting for the students. o I will have high expectations of all students, In regard to their academic abilities and their behaviour. o Flexibility and the ability to think on my feet are both strategies that I have been able to develop this year, they have enabled me deal effectively with the unpredictability of the classroom. For example, this year I had planned a lesson based around watching a video on the smartboard, unfortunately it wouldn’t turn on that day so I change the lesson to almost a learning pit where I just asked the student the question and worked as a class to discover the
