The disease kuru takes place in the nervous system and is very rare and can be fatal. The anatomy/ physiology of the nervous system involve the nervous tissue, brain, spinal cord, nerves, meninges, cerebrospinal fluid and the sense organs. The nervous tissue has two classes of cells the neurons and the neuroglia. The neurons are also nerve cells that communicate in the body by electrochemical signals whereas the neuroglia best know as glial cells protect, feed and insulate the neuron.
