When I reviewed the TANIC and NICA L3/L4 Nursing Informatics Competency Assessment that I completed, I was not surprised by the results. As a RN who has worked in Critical Care, IT, and Informatics, my skillset is more advanced and I am very comfortable with technology. For the TANIC Assessment, I ranked myself as an expert in every category. I cross-checked with my colleagues, and they agreed with my assessment. When I took the NICA L3/L4 Assessment it uncovered areas that I can improve upon, all related to data analytics, data mining, and data queries. This is an area that I can improve upon.
