They first moved their tribe from the White River to near the Ohio River which was in the boundaries of the Treaty of Greenville in 1806. Being inside the treaty line helped them be protected even more and it was a smart move. They also sent messengers to go throughout the land and tell other tribes of their messages. Leaders who questioned what he was saying were called witches and called supporters of the US government. The brothers even killed leaders (One Wyandotte leader) because they were “witches”. In 1807 they packed up and moved 150 miles west by the connection of the Wabash and Tippecanoe rivers which was named Prophetstown. This helped them stay farther away from the whites and closer to those who believed in the preachings which led to a wider spread of their messages. It was called Prophetstown and became a big powerhouse for the Indians to strive and stay alive against the white settlers.
