Langston Hughes: A Religious Analysis

One of the religious experiences that I will always remember is when my Grandmother conveyed me to the chapel and showed me about God and His arrangement and reason for my life. My religion started when I was thirteen years old. It was July 15, 2012, when my granny Lavonne kept forcing me to go to church. According to Langston Hughes, author of Salvation, “I was saved from sin when I was thirteen. But not really saved.” There were times when I did not want to get out of bed to get ready for church. My granny will always say, “Boy, the reason you have to go to church is that you are supposed to.”
When I started going to church, I did not know anything about God. I will sit through Sunday school and morning church service and not learn a thing.
