Lars-Erik Larsson was a Swedish composer from Åkarp, Sweden. Concertino for horn is a set of 12 Concertini for various instruments. Larsson composed a set of Concertini due to the lack of pieces for amateur players. The set of Concertinis all demonstrate Larsson’s influence from Romantic Composers. These pieces where composed between 1953 and 1957. Concertino for horn is quite fun and has an odd characteristic that is carried out through all three movements. It keeps the same theme going throughout the whole piece, but the theme takes on different feelings through out.
