Lobbying the Legislature
Latino Victory Project contracts lobbyists on the national level for the House of Representatives and the Senate. They contract lobbyist from corporate companies such as Bose Public Affairs Group, D&P Creative Strategies, LLC, Podesta Group, Inc., and the Raben Group. The Latino Victory Project does work with specific individuals such as Luis A. Miranda, Jr. who is a board member for the project, states his occupation as “Managing Partner of the MirRam Group, a government affairs, lobbying and political consulting firm in New York City”(Latino Victory). I currently could not find any information regarding the group hiring anyone to lobby on the state

The Latino Victory Fund PAC was founded in May of 2014.
The Latino Victory PAC has received contributions from many people and companies, such as George Soros, who is a billionaire investor, donated a very amount of $250,000. The PAC also reached donations from other donors such as CHC Bold PAC, 5000 Broadway Productions, LMN Consulting, and Priorities USA Action (Open Secrets)(FEC).
The PAC had contributed funds to 13 Democratic candidates. Those candidates, 11 from the House: Nanette Barragan D-CA, Salud Carbajal D-CA, Lou Correa D-CA, Adriano Espaillat D-NY, Pete Gallego D-TX, Luis Gutierrez D-IL, Emilio Huerta D-CA, Ruben Kihuen D-NV, Joseline Pena-Melnyk D-MD, Darren Soto D-FL, Brady Walkinshaw D-WA, and 2 from the Senate: Catherine Cortez Masto D-NV and Loretta Sanchez D-CA (Open Secrets).
The Latino Victory PAC has sponsored issues such as “Yes on Oregon Safe Roads” (Follow The Money)(Yes for Safe Roads). Voting yes on Oregon Safe Roads allows the DMV to issue driver cards to the people of Oregon who are unable to provide proof of their citizenship. The PAC would use independent expenditures in campaigns for candidates such as Ralph Northam, Elizabeth Guzman, Alfonso Lopez, Lucy Flores, Pete Gallego, Nanette Diaz Barragan, Salud Carbajal, and Jimmy Gomez. The most recent indirect lobbying was aimed towards Virginia Republicans and Ed Gillespie supporters. The Latino Victory PAC also participated in the phone bank helping the Democratic National Committee make phone calls to voters (Moomaw).
With the new, most recent campaign ad for the Virginia gubernatorial race created by the Latino Victory Project, the lobbying would be considered both for values and for contact. Values, because the campaign ad was being directed towards Republicans and indirectly calling them racist and contact because at the end of the campaign ad, they asked a question, while showing images of White nationalist members during the Charlottesville Riots, is this is the type of American dream Donald Trump and Ed Gillespie want, urging the people of Virginia to vote against Ed Gillespie.
Yes, indirect lobbying is a large part of the Latino Victory group’s activity. They want to reach out to all Latinos in the United States, hoping to help them achieve the American dream.
The Latino Victory PAC does conduct all-directional lobbying. They not only work with or against candidates, but they also work with the public, mainly focused on the Latino
