Laughter is important, as it makes most people feel better and be able to focus on the task at hand. Many people provide laughter to make you feel good and be in a lighter mood when there is work to be done. Medieval courts had jesters and most book and video game characters spew out witty jokes and quips. These are just a few of the reason laughter is important for everyday life.

Kings of old in Medieval stories and books have jesters for when the court gets boring. We hear about men who juggle and tell many jokes and who were the only people who can insult the king without punishment. They make the court laugh, so when there is work to be done, they are okay with doing it because of their happiness.
