The NCO 2020 strategy outlined three efforts:
The first one is….. Development:
We, as NCOs, have the responsibility to develop,…..prepare,……and train our Soldiers for the challenge of an ever-changing operational environment.
In other words, Soldiers need to grow. Leader development is a process that aligns training,.…education,….and experience to prepare future leaders. We must enforce career-long learning as an essential part of leaders’ …show more content…
The second effort is Talent Management:
We have to manage talent to benefit the institution and our Soldiers. Expand our primary MOS proficiency through developmental opportunities, ….positions, ……and assignments that strengthen our leadership skill. Look for challenging broad assignments, which will bring a great opportunity to improve your abilities, your knowledge, and enrich your leadership experiences. These experiences will be needed to perform more complex duties and missions of greater responsibilities in your future.
Likewise, you have to value a broad range of leaders’ experiences and how they influence your development opportunities to grow.
The third one is Stewardship of the Profession:
Strengthen the NCO Corps;….put emphasis on build and sustain trust among our Soldiers;….. constantly improve military expertise; …..be a symbol of honorable service; ……fostering a climate rich in respect and understanding, and serve as steward of the Army
