The lack of documentation and archived information was apparent, as a part of Dick’s leadership, “it was not in his nature to sit down and document his job procedures; therefore he never pushed others as to do so either (Hitt, Miller & Colella pp 573). Because of this standard that was set by Dick, his staff did not keep records of their procedures or practices available for his newly hired employees as a continuity book his creating more work. An example of this was when one of LFI employee’s, Allison agreed, “There was so much content to learn…early on it was a lot of watching Julia and listening and trying to really get up to speed on the programs so I could make client calls and write proposals (Hitt, Miller & Colella pp572)” Due to the fact that there was no documentation, Allison was unable to make a smooth transition into her job position. Allison stated, "there wasn't really any archive of information to access that would give me all the stuff I'd need to say confidently to a corporate client, 'here's what we offer, here's what it will look like and here's what it's going to feel like'" (Hitt, Miller & Colella pp.
