In the society we live in today, the flaws in the educational system have become continually more prevalent. Furthermore, Educators and concerned parents argue that school, especially high school, often fails to prepare students for the rough “real world”. As said by the Leon Botstein, the president of Bard College, “But the rules of high school turn out not to be the rules of life” (Source 3). While some politicians believe that high school is an important step in a child’s journey through education, it’s important to note the accuracy of Botstein’s statement that high school doesn’t fully prepare students for the grueling reality of the real world. The focus of curriculum has inhibited students from fully becoming prepared for their future
