Leslie was one of many people who decided to have an abortion procedure. A year and a half after her first abortion, Leslie’s life went quite well. She had recovered from her surgery, she was living comfortably, and after much hard work she was enjoying her dream job as a morning talk show host. However, her life was soon about to change drastically. One day, Leslie discovered that she was pregnant again. She faced a difficult decision. She feared that she may lose her dream job that she had worked so hard to obtain if her supervisor found out that she was pregnant. Because of this, she chose to abort her baby. Another reason abortions commonly take place is because of sexual abuse. Many people have abortions because they have been raped. However, just because someone has wronged a woman and impregnated her before she was ready to have a baby, this does not mean that she has the right to take away the life of her unborn baby. Murder is illegal under federal law, because it is unjust to take away the life of another human being. Every human has a life to live. We all go to school, work, have families to take care of, things in life to achieve, etc. If a man was to take away the life of another man, that would be uncalled for. It is illegal because one should not take away the life another is living. This murdered man’s family would want justice, and his murderer would go to jail for murder. Then why do people not consider justice for babies’ lives? In the womb, babies grow, develop, and prepare their bodies to be equipped to live their lives.
