Carrie Underwood finally shared a new picture after she had fans fearing the worst, warning them she might look different after taking a tumble on her stairs.
The warning came after she fell down the stairs outside of her Nashville home in November, just days after cohosting the CMAs, as previously reported by Dearly. The country singer landed in the hospital with cuts, scrapes, and a broken wrist.
Underwood never mentioned her face was injured in the accident until she shared a message with her fan club members:
Most of you know that I tripped and fell and broke my wrist in November. I'm still doing regular physical therapy for that, but all is coming along. There is also another part of the story that I haven't been ready to talk about…show more content… I'll spare you the gruesome details, but when I came out of surgery the night of my fall, the doctor told [my husband] Mike that he had put between 40 and 50 stitches in. Now, here we are 7 weeks later and, even though I've had the best people helping me, I'm still healing and not quite looking the same.
Underwood received 40 to 50 stitches to patch her face up after the spill, prompting the singer to tell fans she wouldn't be jumping back in front of the camera right away:
And when I am ready to get in front of a camera, I want you all to understand why I might look a bit different. I'm hoping that, by then, the differences are minimal, but, again, I just don't know how it's all going to end up.
She took some heat following the letter to her fans, with some questioning if the damage to her face was really caused by the fall when a photo surfaced of the singer and “Below Deck” star Adrienne Gang.

Underwood got personal once again about her fall by sharing another picture. This time she wasn't hiding her face behind a scarf, she left it out of the photo all together.
The star shared the good news that she went to the doctor for the last time to have her broken wrist treated. She posted a graphic photo of her X-Ray, metal screw and all:
